Is there a way to find out how long a specific movie is going to be in theaters?

I am trying to find out if there is someplace online that I can see how long "I Am Legend" and "Cloverfield" are going to be in theaters.

That depends on lots of factors. Market size is the biggest factor (population and number of theaters in the area); but the most important is how well the films do in the opening week. If a movie tanks, do not expect it to last through the month in a first run theater.

There is no set website that says how long movies are going to run; but the studios have predicted expectations on how long the movie will last in the theaters before being sold on DVD.

Your best bet is to check your local theaters' websites or talk to the theater's manager about when they expect to send the films back.

fandango always says

usually around 1:40 all movies are
If you google your local Cinemark times, you can usually look 2 weeks in advance.
yes. all you do is:go to yahoo movies, search the movie and go to it's main page, and look where in bold is says Running Time.
Yes. But it requires a bit of math. Go to moviefone.com. When you search for the movie, it will give you the exact runtime of the film. Good Luck!
If you mean, how many weeks will they play....

At lot of factors are used, but of course the main one is $$$$$$

If a movie stays high box office, it will continue to play.

And of course, there are the 2nd run theaters.

The few exceptions have been ones like last few Star Wars

movies, Lucas demanded a minimum of 12 weeks for any theater showing the film.
