my suggestion,, go to your library and get some award winning movies. It is free and less risky then watching some crap movie just because it was shot recently....

i dont know how good it would be for a family, but P.S I love you is absolutely amazing. I heard The Great Debators is very good and inspiring and I Am Legend is quite scary. I saw Enchanted and thought it was really good. it may work for you.

The Game Plan. Best movie ever. The Rock plays in it. =]
Try 'Mozart and the Whale.' It was last 2005 when it was shown. I think it's PG-13. It's very interesting.
I liked I Am Legend, but it was a little bit upsetting with the whole zombie and apocalypse themes. (PG-13)

National Treasure wasn't a very good movie, but it was relatively entertaining. (PG)

I haven't seen Alvin and the Chipmunks, but that is an option. (PG)

Enchanted is apparently sort of a girls movie, but it got good reviews. (PG)

The Golden Compass is okay, not a very good movie, and offended a lot of Christians, but is still sort of exciting and has cool effects. (PG-13)

Those are the best options, but there are others, such as Fred Claus (PG) and August Rush (PG)

it is a great family film

little boy: there are animals and a lot of cool things to look at.

smart girl:she won't know what will happen cuz it is unprdicable

artsy boy: the graphics in this movie are awesome i thought it was amazing

genious boy: he won't know what to expect becasue there is alot of suspense

*THE ONLY BAD THING IS THERE IS VIOLENCE INVOLVING HUNTING AND ANIMALS GETTING WOUNDED...AND SOMETIMES THING POP OUT SO YOU JUMP BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT IS GREAT

The kite runner is a really good movie to see, especially if they are artsy and smart. It's sweet, but very sad at times. PG-13 too. I would say that one is my favorite out right now.

Maybe juno, it's really heart warming but hilarious at the same time, good good humor and nice plot and acting :-) Its pg13

Or, I am legend which is pretty good, and exciting, it is sad at times but alot really well done, or august rush, it's really sweet, it's about a musical "prodigy" and it's rated PG, really cute.
